The Adventure Begins

Each new day brings a brand new adventure for those who are in Christ Jesus. We have the opportunity to grasp hold of each new day and with the guidance of the Lord make it into something long lasting. That is my hope as I venture out into this new world of blogging. It is my deepest prayer that what is written here is of value and not just fluff. Instead of fluff I pray that it will be full of real heart, insight into who I really am and of course written with a deep down joyous smile no matter the subject or personal circumstance of the time.

Speaking of smiling . . . my dear friend and sister in Christ, Rebecca, writes an awesome blog at The Washington Walkers. On July 18 she was given the Arte y pico award. Rebecca’s blog reveals her creative ability and a real sense of design but the greatest blessing (for me) is her content. She shares daily family living from her transparent heart. I check out her blog spot almost every morning and sometimes through the day. So when I checked her site on July 18 and saw the award I said, “Awesome, she deserves the award,” “Wait a minute what is this she has awarded me with an award also,” “Yikes.” I was amazed as this is my first post and I am such a newbie at this blog stuff. By doing so she gave me encouragement and maybe a bit of push to get me going. Thank you so much Rebecca. I accept this blessing and pray that I live up to your confidence.

Now it is my turn to award five other blog sites with the Arte y pico. This is a bit of a stretch for me because I am so new but here goes.

Kendra at Heath Happenings. Kendra is such an inspiration to me. She and TODR (see her blog) raise seven children in the Light of the Lord Jesus. She also writes transparently and by doing so not only uplifts the name of Jesus but also brings joy and sometimes conviction to my heart. Her blog site is worthy of your time and if you haven’t checked in on them please do so I’m sure you will be blessed.

Tim at Speaking Of Changing The Subject. Tim’s site is a big favorite of mine (not just because he is my Pastor) but because I know that I will always see the Truth in him, read the Truth in what he has to say and be convicted deeply by the Truth as he so eloquently paints a real picture of Christ from his heart. I also know that he lives what he shares and he daily pants after the perfection that is only found in Christ Jesus.

Kacey at The Journey of a Woman of God. Wow, here is a young married woman who is not just twitterpated with love she is deeply and forever in love with her husband. Through her site you quickly come to realize that they are a couple who have begun a life long journey together with Christ. I find this site very exciting because Kacey writes from her heart and does not hesitate to uplift the heart of her husband. You rock Kacey and I look forward to reading much, much more of your adventures with Christ as a couple.

Brian at Today is the Day that the Lord has made. Like me, Brian, alias TODR is new at blogging. He is definitely on the right track as he too shares from the heart. Content is deep and the photos are great. Keep up the good work Brian. I know that you make our Father smile as he rejoices over you.

Mrs. June Fuentes at A Wise Woman Builds Her Home. As I said earlier I am new at blogging so I also haven’t had a chance to explore a lot of sites. I found a link from Rebecca’s link list and when I followed it to Mrs. Fuentes site I was struck by the creative beauty. The photos are plentiful and endearing. I have only scanned it briefly but what I saw and read is beckoning me back to spend more time and most likely with a cup of tea in hand.

Those are my five picks. I appreciate all the work that everyone puts into their blog sites. As time affords me more opportunity to visit more blogs I’m sure that I will realize that many of you deserve an award.

For my five picks . . . please follow the following rules and may you be blessed in the process.

Rules:
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award, be it through creativity, design, or interesting material, and that also contributes to the blogger community, no matter the language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award.
4) Award winners and the one who has given the award have to show the link of "Arte y pico" blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5) Show these rules.

Well that about covers it for this post.

Blogging is a gift from The Most High. He has given us a wonderful place to share our hearts and encourage each other as we walk in His Light together raising high His name. Thank you Lord.

Thank you Rebecca for your encouragement because it is the push that I needed.

My prayer for you all:

May your day be filled to overflowing with the precious presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As you live fully in this day, may our Father reveal to you, in a whole new way, why He rejoices over you.

Wow! That was really sweet! I am glad to read your blog.

I hope I can figure out how to get my blog post to fulfill all the rules. I will probably have to have Rebecca help me. I will try though.

I miss you living across the street. We have new neighbors and they are quiet. I know that the move was good for you and your family. I am sure your husband likes the shorter drive to work. We miss you very much though.

You deserve many more awards and rewards :)

Oh how I miss y'all. I do really enjoy living here and yes, so does George but I am sad to be soooooooooo far away. Gee, I never thought 20 miles could feel so far away.

Hopefully I will see you soon.

Thanks for leaving a comment as you are my first. Heather doesn't really count this time cause I hounded her until she did. Poor girl. LOL
Love you,
Sharon
