A Prayer to Abba

Abba,
I love you. Oh how I thank you for this day created by You. You set my feet to walk on high ground today and I confess that I slipped and stumbled over my pride too many times. Please forgive me Father. I wish I could say that I will never do it again . . . my heart aches to be able to promise You that but sadly I know me. What gets me through each day is that You know me more than I think I know myself. Your promise never to abandon me even though I don't measure up sustains me and that is enough. There is nothing I could ever do or say to make you disappointed in me. Today, no matter what the day brought, you were there to bring me through. I thank you Lord that I do not have to face any situation alone. Your promise to never forsake me comforts me as You prove every word every second of everyday.

As this day comes to an end Abba, I kiss toward You. Thank You for Your unconditional and never ending love.

1-2First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don't see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God's Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.

3-5 God spoke: "Light!"
And light appeared.
God saw that light was good
and separated light from dark.
God named the light Day,
he named the dark Night.
It was evening, it was morning—
Day One.

As the new day begins I praise Your Holy, Holy, Holy Name. You and You alone are the answer to all my questions, be they out of joy or sorrow. What ever the new day brings Lord, help me to rest in You and Your trustworthiness to lead and guide me with your capable and powerful right hand.
Good Night Abba . . . see you in my dreams :)
Your Beloved Daughter,
Sharon
